CORONABROS
In
2002, the clash of spanish and german cultures initated a
unique project -
Carlos
Serrano del Rio and DJ Mike MD decided to team up:
CORONABROS
was born!
The
first time they met in spring 2000. Carlos became the MD of
the band MAIDA VALE,
which
was produced by Mike.
Music
was always the topic theme of discussion; both had been already
working as successful producers,
performers
and musicians.
Mike
produced tracks and remixes for chart acts like The Southside
Rockers, Sqeezer, Bobby Womack,
Gloria
Gaynor, Carolina Escolano, Sugarcube Inc. and Royal Melody.
He
was performing with the bands Advanced Chemistry, Colours
United and Jazzamor.
On
his countless travels to the caribe and brazil he was influenced
by the native latin music styles,
combined
with his Hip Hop roots his music definition is quite versatile.
In
his sets he is playing from Balearic Latin House up to Progressive
and Tribal. There are no frontiers.
Carlos
is one of the state of the art latin and pop percussionists
in germany.
Born
in Madrid, he got the groove in his veins. Combined with the
experience of hundreds of live performances,
he
became reference in latin and pop percussion styles.
He
also produced house tunes for La Montse, Cores and Charisma
and supported acts like Jazzamor, Julia Neigel,
Chaka
Khan, La Bouche, Gipsy Kings, Eros Ramazzotti and Carolina
Escolano.
He
is perfoming with Jazzamor since the beginning and other popular
live acts in germany.
Since
the beginning of CORONABROS, Carlos and Mike found a way to
fascinate the crowd with their unconventional sound.
It
doesn´t matter what Mike selects to play, Carlos improves
the track with his incredible skills on his acoustic and electro
percussion.
